DR. BROWN'S NATURAL FLOW BABY BOTTLES WIN AMERICAN BABY'S 2009 AMBY AWARD
Dr. Brown's is the only bottle chosen by American Baby readers as a product they "can't live without"
St. Louis, MO - Handi-Craft Company, makers of the Dr. Brown's Natural Flow products, was awarded the coveted 2009 AMBY Award from American Baby Magazine for its Dr. Brown's Natural Flow baby bottles. The Dr. Brown's Natural Flow bottles were the only baby bottles on the list, and have been chosen by American Baby readers for six consecutive years.
Every year, American Baby asks parents to name "their favorite, can't live without products." The magazine receives thousands of votes but many of the same items consistently rise to the top, making this annual list a "perfect gauge of what is really needed." An AMBY (American Baby Best of the Year) Award is given to the ten most-mentioned products.
While many baby bottles claim to help colic, Dr. Brown's Natural Flow are the only bottles to offer a patented internal vent system that helps reduce feeding problems like colic, spit-up, burping and gas. The bottle design allows air to enter through the nipple collar, without being incorporated into the breastmilk or formula.
In addition to helping with common infant feeding problems, the Dr. Brown's fully vented bottle eliminates the vacuum and the air bubbles found in most baby bottles. This elimination of negative pressure helps to reduce build up of fluid in the baby's ear. The vacuum-free design also closely mimics breastfeeding and is ideal for breastmilk and formula alike.
Also, recent studies have shown that air traveling through milk during feedings can reduce the Vitamin C content of the milk - Dr. Brown's bottles performed the best in that study thanks to the unique design.
